At the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing will most probably unveil a special new livery in commemoration of its relationship with Honda that dates back to 2022. This stunning livery comes at Honda's final home race with Red Bull ahead of the Japanese manufacturer going to a full-time engine partner with Aston Martin next year.
It will be most dominated in white, a daring move away from Red Bull’s traditional blue and red in tribute to the iconic Honda RA272 — the car that gave Honda its first Formula One win in 1965. Its Red Bull logo will be accentuated on the engine cover in bold red, while subtle blue touches are added to the car's nose and tail. This design homage also harks back to the white livery displayed at the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix, which was supposed to run at the 2020 Japanese Grand Prix but was canceled as a result of the pandemic.

This special liveries not only celebrates Honda’s important role providing Red Bull with an engine supply and technical partnership since 2018, but it also falls at a significant time for the team. The Japanese Grand Prix also marks Yuki Tsunoda’s first race with Red Bull Racing, taking over from Liam Lawson. With Tsunoda in his first race with the senior team, this tribute carries even more meaning as it was sponsored by Honda for many years.
In keeping with the celebratory theme and paying tribute to Honda's long history with the brand in Formula One, Max Verstappen will wear a custom helmet that features the white and red color scheme taken from the car.
